Booking
• A vehicle will be reserved following the acceptance of a completed booking form and receipt of a non-refundable booking deposit of £150 per week
• The booking form must be accompanied by a copy of the driver(s) paper driving licence
• The booking form must include the requested details of all persons travelling
• The booking will be confirmed in writing within 7 days
• Payment in full must be received at least 4 weeks prior to commencement of hire

Cancellation by Hirer. Charges:
• More than 4 weeks prior to commencement of hire:- booking deposit (£150 per week)
• 4 weeks to 2 weeks prior to commencement of hire:- booking deposit plus 50% of hire charge
• Less than 2 weeks prior to commencement of hire:- booking deposit plus 100% of hire charge

Security deposit
• A security deposit of £1000 is payable prior to departure. This payment must be taken by way of a Credit Card transaction and is in addition to the Insurance Excess
• The Security Deposit covers any non-insurable damage or losses plus ‘additional fees’ as below
• The Security Deposit or balance thereof will be refunded within 7 days of return of vehicle

Vehicle Collection and Return
Allow 1 hour on collection and return for paperwork and vehicle checks The hire contract will contain a mutually agreed, pre-arranged time for collection and return

Collection
• Driving licences (both parts), 2 recent utility bills and proof of identity must be presented
• Collection times are restricted to Fridays 15.00 to 17.00
• Vehicles will be supplied with a full tank of fuel
• Vehicles will be supplied with 2 gas cylinders one of which will be full
• The Hirer is responsible for completing a pre-delivery check list

Return
• Return times are Fridays 10.00 to 11.30 (see additional fees)
• The vehicle must be returned in a clean and tidy condition (see additional fees)
• The vehicle must be returned with the waste tanks empty and cleaned (see additional fees)
• The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of fuel (see additional fees)
• The vehicle must be returned with at least one full gas cylinder

Availability
• Chelston Motorhomes reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle should the advertised or booked vehicle not be available. Such substitution does not carry entitlement to any refund
• Should the replacement vehicle be unacceptable Chelston Motorhomes’ liability is limited to the refund of all monies paid for the hire only

Additional fees
• A charge of £75 will be made if the vehicle is not returned in a clean condition
• ‘Clean condition’ is defined as the condition in which the vehicle was collected
• A charge of £25 will be made if the waste tanks (including toilet) are not empty on return
• Late return will be charged at £50 per hour
• Fuel top up will be charged at cost plus an admin charge of £10
• Drivers with convictions and/or penalty points may be accepted with additional premium

Insurance
• Drivers must be aged between 25 and 70 years with a minimum of 2 years Full UK/EU licence
• Driving is restricted to 2 approved drivers. (No charge for 2nd driver)
• Drivers with convictions or penalty points or restrictions must declare and be referred to the Insurers
• Cover is for UK use only. (European cover is available at an extra charge. See below)
• Excess. In the event of an Insurance claim there is a charge of £1000 to cover Excess and loss of use. This amount must be paid prior to departure. This amount is in addition to the Security Deposit
• Tyre and windscreen damage. The hirer will be fully liable for the cost of replacement of these items

Means of payment
• Payment may be made by Credit Card, Debit Card, cash or cheque (min. 7 days to clear)
• Credit Cards accepted: Visa and Mastercard only and subject to a 2.5% surcharge

Title to Vehicle
• Chelston Motorhomes at all times retains Title to the vehicle
• The vehicle nor any part thereof shall not be sublet, loaned, parted with, or disposed of in any way

Accident and Breakdown
• Roadside Assistance is provided by Camper Assist. Full details are provided with the vehicle
• In the event of a breakdown Chelston Hire must be notified as soon as practicable • In the event of an accident the Accident Report Form (provided) must be completed at the scene
• In the event of an accident Chelston Hire must be notified as soon as practicable
• The Hirer is responsible for any damage attributable to the Hirer’s own negligence

Hirer’s responsibilities
• Ensure correct fuel is used (diesel)
• The vehicle must be properly maintained. Daily checks should be made on oil, water and tyres
• The vehicle must not be driven on any surface other than a sealed road (an exception is made for registered Camp Sites)
• Seat belts are provided for all notified occupants and should be worn when legally required
• All doors and skylights, vents etc should be closed and secured whilst in transit
• Only the notified drivers are legally empowered to drive. No other person must be allowed to drive
• The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is only ever used in a manner permitted by Law
• The Hirer is responsible for all parking and motoring offences during the hire period
• The Hirer is responsible for the loading of the vehicle. Note Payload restrictions (see section below)

Pets
No pets are permitted

Smoking
Strictly no smoking in any vehicle

Payload
• The Hirer’s attention is drawn to Payload Restrictions inherent in all Motorhomes. BE AWARE
• The vehicle will be supplied with a copy of a certified weighbridge ticket and the Hirer will be provided with a Payload calculation
• The 6 berth Motorhome is not suitable for 6 adults. 4 adults and 2 children can be accommodated with restrictions

Terminating the Agreement
Chelston Motorhomes reserves the right to terminate the Hire at any time if:
• The Terms of the Contract are breached
• The vehicle has been obtained through any misrepresentation or fraud
• The vehicle is used for any unlawful activity
• The vehicle is taken out of the disclosed area of travel The vehicle may be repossessed if applicable and any and all monies paid by the Hirer forfeit

Damage to Vehicle

In the event of any damage or loss of any nature being sustained on or to the vehicle Chelston Motorhomes will invoice all justifiable costs to the Hirer and reserves the right to subtract such costs from the Insurance Excess and Security Deposit. Chelston Motors reserves the right to debit any shortfall from the Hirer’s Credit Card
